Steps
- 01Establish 10m × 10m plot; mark corners with rebar and GPS to ±1m
- 02Record all woody species >1m tall: species, DBH or basal diameter, height
- 03Record understory in four 1m² nested subplots: species list, cover class
- 04Photograph plot from four cardinal corners
- 05Note disturbance indicators (ungulate sign, fire evidence, disease symptoms)
- 06Resample every 3 years at same phenological window
